What is a win condition in Clash Royale?
A win condition is the card a Clash Royale deck uses to damage towers. How DeckBeacon groups ranked decks by win-condition family.
A win condition is the card (sometimes two) a deck relies on to damage the opponent's towers. Hog Rider, Royal Giant, Miner, Graveyard, X-Bow, Goblin Barrel — the list is the set of cards whose job is "this is how we score," not "this is how we survive."
Everything else in the list is support, cycle, or answers. Mix those up and you get a pile of good cards that never towers. Mix them correctly and you get an archetype: Hog Cycle, Log Bait, Golem Beatdown.
Why DeckBeacon groups decks this way
The ranked catalog tags each list with one or more win-condition families and builds a landing page per family at /decks/win/…. Those pages are the search surface for "hog rider decks" and friends — they are catalog-driven, not blog posts. If you are choosing a family to learn, start there, then filter elixir and cycle on /decks.
A deck can carry two win conditions (Miner plus Wall Breakers, for example). The catalog records that rather than forcing a single label. When a family has too few lists to be a useful hub, it does not get a page. Thin hubs are worse than no hub.
Win condition vs win rate
The words collide. Win condition is a card role. Win rate on this site is wins divided by decisive games in the sample (draws excluded). A Graveyard deck can have a modest win rate in the snapshot and still be a Graveyard deck. Do not read a family page as "this win condition is broken this week" — read it as "here are the Graveyard lists that cleared the sample filters."
Rating is a different number again: a 0–100 Wilson lower bound, never a percentage. What Wilson Rating is.
How to pick one to learn
- Pick a win condition you already own at a usable level. Copying a ranked Royal Giant deck you cannot upgrade is a museum visit.
- Pick one whose elixir and cycle match how you already play.
- Copy it with the official link, then set Evolutions by hand if the page says so — copy guide.
The snapshot is Path of Legends ranked battles, a bounded sample, not every win condition in every mode.
