What is Manual Duels in Clash Royale League?

Manual Duels in CRL: unique decks per game, no repeating a card in the same match. Why “Mohamed Light’s deck” is the wrong unit on stage.

Manual Duels is the Clash Royale League match format where each game in a set uses a different deck, and a card used in one game cannot be used again in that match. A Bo3 is two or three distinct lists; a Bo5 is more. Casters call this "bringing a pool."

The 2026 rules also define in-game Duels as a format, but the broadcast World Finals / Monthly Final series people clip on YouTube are the Manual Duel pool — that is the format that makes "their one deck" a bad search.

Why this wrecks "top deck" thumbnails

A creator can still title a video "Mohamed Light's MAIN deck." That might be a ladder list they used that week, or one game from a series. It is not a CRL identity the way Hog Cycle is an archetype in our snapshot. Mohamed Light, Mugi.

If you want the list from that game, copy from the broadcast QR while it is on screen. CRL copy guide. If you want a family that showed up a lot on ladder this snapshot, filter DeckBeacon: X-Bow, Hog, Goblin Drill.

What Manual Duels is not

It is not "you must own every Evolution in the game." Pros still play what they unlocked. Copy-deck still drops forms. Evolution.

It is not DeckBeacon's ranking unit. We rank one playable identity (eight cards + tower + forms) across a bounded sample. A snapshot row can be copied as a ladder main. A Manual Duel game is disposable by design: playing the card uses it up for the rest of that match. Treating game-one Hog Cycle as "their deck for Shanghai" is how a VOD becomes a bad blog.

Worlds, Monthly Finals, and LCQ all use this pool logic on the broadcast stage. Copy each game as it appears. CRL copy guide.
